Your partner for next-generation Lateral Flow Assay (LFA) development

End-to-end LFA development.
Leveraging our proprietary K-One surface chemistry and expertise in both SPR chip functionalization and nanoparticle bioconjugation, we support diagnostic and pharmaceutical companies in lateral flow assay development—including companion diagnostics (CDx)—from optimal antibody pair selection and proof-of-concept development to assay optimization and the manufacturing of high-performance gold bioconjugate detection labels.

The state of LFA development today.

Gold nanoparticles and colored latex beads are widely used in LFAs requiring moderate analytical sensitivity. When higher sensitivity is needed, developers increasingly turn to fluorescent latex beads or luminescent particles. However, both passive adsorption and covalent coupling involve trade-offs that can compromise assay performance. Most critically, non-specific binding (NSB)—especially with fluorescent and luminescent particles—can increase false-positive rates, making the test unreliable for point-of-care testing.

Redefining surface chemistry with K-One.
K-One offers precise control over surface interactions—ligand exposure, density, and distribution—while protecting the surface against non-specific binding. We define K-One as an all-in-one chemistry because it enhances sensitivity without compromising other key assay parameters such as selectivity, specificity, or reproducibility. In practice, this means reaching your target limit of detection (LoD) without background noise, false positives, or batch-to-batch variability that compromise assay performance.
