The main challenges for Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) analyses are threefold:

  • Working with complex systems, whether ligands that are challenging to immobilize or analytes that are difficult to characterize;
  • Limiting background noise due to non-specific bindings (NSB);
  • Ensuring reproducibility across multiple cycles and assays.

How do we address these challenges?

Complex systems: our chip functionalization capabilities defy current limits, enabling the immobilization and analysis of complex ligands and analytes (e.g., ADCs, nanobodies, F(ab’)₂, C1q, IDPs, membrane proteins, DNA/RNA, coagulation factors, Fc receptors).

Background noise reduction: we significantly improve the Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), ensuring reliable and clear-cut results in any complex biological samples (e.g, plasma, serum, hybridoma supernatant, cell extract).

Robust immobilization: K-One allows to keep ligands firmly attached to the chip through multiple analysis cycles, guaranteeing highly reproducible and consistent results.

Broad compatibility: our surface chemistry remains open to various ligand immobilization methods, whether covalently or through streptavidin-biotin, protein A/G, and His-tag systems, among others.

For electrochemical instruments

The main challenges for electrochemical analyses include Non-Specific Adsorption (NSA), which blocks electron transfer and increases background noise; suboptimal ligand spacing, which hinders electron flow; electrode fouling and poor surface stability, which affect reproducibility.

How do we address these challenges?

Protecting the electrode from NSA: we prevent non-specific adsorption while maintaining electrochemical activity, even for the most complex biological samples. Unlike traditional anti-fouling coatings (PEG, BSA, other SAMs), K-One® reduces NSA without blocking electron transfer, ensuring sensitivity is not compromised for specificity.

Controlling the surface density: we optimize molecular spacing for efficient charge transfer and redox activity.

Ensure long-term reproducibility: we prevent electrode fouling and maintain surface stability, ensuring reliable performance across multiple runs.

Compatible with your systems: our surface chemistry is compatible with a variety of immobilization approaches, including covalent binding or tag-based systems such as streptavidin-biotin, protein A/G, and His-tag.
